Pray without ceasing
As the exam period draws nearer (3 more weeks to go), i’ve been trying to slowly build up my pace and hope to peak at the right time. Surprisingly, my stress levels have been going down or at least not increasing. I think it has to do with me remembering to surrender everything that I do into Your hands. All these things I’m doing here on earth, You are a million times greater. So how can I say that I’m going to see exams as something which I can’t defeat? I can with You by my side. I just pray that in the next 3 weeks, i’ll continue to believe that You’ll sustain me Lord. If You have brought me to it, You will see me through it. And recently, the passaged I’ve been reading have been so applicable I thank You for that.
Pray without ceasing. Sometimes we get so caught up with our own lives here on Earth that the one most important thing that we forget to do is to pray. Simple prayers, long prayers, joyful prayers, sad prayers, whatever it is, it has to be a constant. 1 thessalonians 5:17. It is the breath of our lungs, and the blood from our hearts. It is not an exercise, but a lifestyle. And although sometimes it seems like God is not answering our prayers, He actually is. It just may not be in line with what you want His answer to be. And that is not right because it isn’t up to you. It is God’s best way of answering and it may be hard to comprehend at times, but that is God. He does things that sometimes our human form is just not capable of comprehending the basis and vastness of his decisions and plans. So…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for seeing me through this week. Thank you for the times when I felt as if I want to give up and go home, and You gave me the strength to carry on and know that You are there for every step of the way. Thank you for healing my cold, I feel a lot better now. Forgive me for the times when I worried and doubted you Lord. Moments of foolishness. Please sustain me for the last 3 weeks before my exam. Give me the determination and perseverance to get through this trying period. And through it all, in times of lowness and frustration, just be still, and know that You are God.
Amen.
